Des de la seva creaci\u00f3 ha anat creixent en personal i recursos i ampliant els seus \u00e0mbits d\u2019actuaci\u00f3, desenvolupant programes de gesti\u00f3 de voluntariat i campanyes d\u2018educaci\u00f3 i sensibilitzaci\u00f3 ambiental. Des de l\u2019any 2021 tamb\u00e9 duu a terme un projecte de recerca i seguiment de poblacions d\u2019elasmobranquis de les Illes Balears.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El Departament de Fauna Marina desenvolupa gran part de la seva activitat a les instal\u00b7lacions de l\u2019IRFAP-LIMIA, el Laboratori d\u2019Investigacions Marines i d\u2019Aq\u00fcicultura pertanyent a la Conselleria d\u2019Agricultura, Pesca i Medi Natural. La col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb aquest centre, situat al Port d\u2019Andratx, permet al COFIB disposar de les instal\u00b7lacions i recursos adients per a realitzar les seves accions relacionades amb el medi mar\u00ed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-87917d4 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"87917d4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ANIDACI\u00d3 DE TORTUGUES MARINES A LES ILLES BALEARS<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fdbdfce elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fdbdfce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Des de la seva creaci\u00f3, el departament s\u2019encarrega de coordinar i gestionar tots els esdeveniments de nidificaci\u00f3 que ocorren a l\u2019arxip\u00e8lag, protegint i fent un seguiment dels nius, traslocant-los si cal, portant una part dels ous a una incubadora artificial i coordinant activitats de sensibilitzaci\u00f3 i voluntariat entorn d\u2019aquests esdeveniments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En la gesti\u00f3 d\u2019aquests successos es compta amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 dels Agents de Medi Ambient, les administracions locals implicades, equips de persones volunt\u00e0ries i, en ocasions, entitats ambientals de la zona en q\u00fcesti\u00f3.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Aquest equip tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s l\u2019encarregat de coordinar i desenvolupar el programa de Head Starting per a les tortugues nascudes dels nius trobats a Balears, aix\u00ed com a altres comunitats aut\u00f2nomes d\u2019Espanya. El principal objectiu d\u2019aquest projecte \u00e9s criar de manera controlada els nounats per, aproximadament uns 11 mesos despr\u00e9s, alliberar-los al medi mar\u00ed. D\u2019aquesta manera, en introduir-se al mar amb una talla i un pes considerablement m\u00e9s grans, les seves condicions s\u00f3n m\u00e9s favorables, augmentant la seva probabilitat de superviv\u00e8ncia i facilitant-ne el desenvolupament cap a l\u2019edat adulta i reproductora.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El programa de Head Starting es realitza en estreta col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb altres centres, tant del territori balear com del territori peninsular, posant en com\u00fa la metodologia, coordinant les accions i fins i tot intercanviant exemplars nascuts en diferents comunitats aut\u00f2nomes. La campanya consisteix a informar la ciutadania de la possibilitat de trobar-se amb tortugues marines niant a les nostres costes i a explicar com cal actuar adequadament, tant si es troben amb una tortuga fent un niu, amb un rastre de tortuga o amb nounats emergint de\u00a0 la sorra. El missatge principal \u00e9s transmetre a la poblaci\u00f3 la import\u00e0ncia de donar av\u00eds immediatament al 112 i de no molestar l\u2019animal ni interferir en la seva activitat, tot recordant que es tracta d\u2019una esp\u00e8cie protegida i molt valuosa per als ecosistemes marins.<\/p>\n<p>Amb aquest objectius es va editar un v\u00eddeo, en cinc idiomes diferents, que proporciona aquesta informaci\u00f3 de manera visual, curta i comprensible. Amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de les administracions locals s\u2019han distribu\u00eft ferratines amb un codi QR que condueix al v\u00eddeo, per a que aquestes estiguin exposades a les platges, establiments tur\u00edstics i punts d\u2019inter\u00e8s, fent arribar el missatge tant a la poblaci\u00f3 local com a la visitant.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a045079 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a045079\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">PROYECTE RAJIBAL<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-192eeb6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"192eeb6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Des de la seva creaci\u00f3, el Departament de Fauna Marina del COFIB ha anat creixent en personal i recursos per desenvolupar diferents projectes de conservaci\u00f3 i investigaci\u00f3 amb fauna marina amena\u00e7ada, i l\u2019any 2021 va iniciar un projecte de recerca i seguiment de poblacions d\u2019elasmobranquis a les Illes Balears .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El projecte, denominat RAJIBAL, consisteix en estudiar algunes esp\u00e8cies de taurons i rajades amena\u00e7ades, que es troben presents a les nostres aigues i de els quals no es disposa de molta informaci\u00f3. Pel moment, les esp\u00e8cies objectiu s\u00f3n la mantellina (<em>Gymnura altavela<\/em>) i la rajada blanca (<em>Rostroraja alba<\/em>). Mitjan\u00e7ant transectes amb equips de busseig i d\u2019snorkel, la utilitzaci\u00f3 de marques visuals i de telemetria ac\u00fastica, la prospecci\u00f3 de fons marins amb un ROV, la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de centres de busseig i el treball amb el sector pesquer, s\u2019est\u00e0 recollint informaci\u00f3 valuosa sobre les seves poblacions i les seves zones de distribuci\u00f3.
